Time To Stop Waiting…
Waiting…
It seems I’ve spent a great deal of my life waiting. Right now I’m waiting in the pickup for the trailer to be loaded with seed to be planted - after waiting for the weather to warm enough to get it in the ground. That kind of waiting I don’t regret. Other waiting I do.
Throughout the years I have waited for too many things I probably shouldn’t have. Waiting for the time to be right. Waiting for more money. Waiting for more time. Waiting for people to love and respect me more when they never would. Waiting for them to change. All things that were nothing more than a waste of my time and energy.
Most recently I’ve been waiting for the perfect blog post. I’ve written many but they never get published because I’ve been waiting to have time to polish them up. That is something that realistically will never happen. Starting now I’m going to work on that. Not on trying to find the time to make things perfect. I’m going to work on just putting things out there in all their imperfections. And mine. The reason I wanted to start this blog was to let you all know what is happening in our little corner of the world as it was happening. But we are too busy to try to add being perfect in the mix. We do the best we can. Right or wrong. When we make a mistake we correct it. So from now on I will (do my best to) let you see that. Whether the post is too short or too long, too weird, too sappy or cranky. Because that was the point; to let the world know that we as farmers and livestock producers are just people trying our best.
So for better or worse here we are, typos and all, just out here being human and being real at Lazy H Crown.
